Why If you are here through my site, you'll know that I have been fascinated with the idea of wealth creation. Of course coming from a rich poor country in the Caribbean, I simply want to make a contribution to eradicate poverty... I think if we were all wealthy, if we had the resources we needed to have a fulfilling life, the world would be a better place to live. Please take a moment to think about how you create wealth... and it starts by looking into wealth and not avoiding the issue or running after money. You will indeed see that there are some universal rules about wealth: 1. Throughout history, human kind has looked upon wealth with fascination and concern. 2. Most people do not want to be wealthy because it makes them feel non compassionate to others... not fair.. not members of the "struggling" arena. 3. Wealth is gut felt -viewed as the quantity of money people have, when you think about wealth for a bit longer you find that wealth is really about resources. the ONLY resource that is finite is time, your time, my time. We are always going to die as long as we are alive, and we have no clue when our most limited resource is going to say it is done! 4. Successful people do what they want to do, and in order to do so, they marshal resources. 5. There is no way we can create wealth without innovation and distribution. 6. Wealth is the single most limiting factor to one's happiness. People run after their wealth or avoid it, those who are comfortable with their wealth show a higher sense of fulfillment. Wealth doesn't make you happy, unwealth is the biggest contributor to people's unhappiness. So you might agree or disagree with what I wrote.. and I am very interested in YOU and your thoughts.. I have been intrigued with wealth and I am writing a book about it, so I wish to gather as many thoughts about it as possible. Here are the questions I'm curious about.. so far I've interviewed hundreds of people.. I want to get 10 thousand responses.. Yes, 10 thousands.. Pretty hard to do in person, via phone, but easier to do it on internet right? but that is what I want. For those who ask what's is in for you? nothing really.. superficially. Why would you write to an stranger what you think about wealth... only because you want to be heard. But deep inside, you will soon discover that once you begin thinking about YOUR wealth it is like putting glasses on a myopic person (I know what I am talking about)... You will see why even if you don't answer. So.. really I figured that these simple questions will help you shape your thoughts, get the muscles warming up and open up to talk about wealth. I hope in the process you will learn something about yourself.. and I really appreciate your thoughts. You can answer as short or long as you want.. some people send me a few words (yes, no.. that'll do), other write profusely. If you absolutely HATE writing you can send me a recording.. and send it.. or send it in another format.. I'll deal with it. This is not a scam and I don't want/need any emails for mail marketing. You can also use a bogus email. If you want me to give you a response PLEASE TELL ME SO! Thanks and here is to your wealth and prosperity. Alicia Castillo Holley
The Questions? Feel free to copy and paste this questions in an email and send it to us. Most people respond with a couple of words and take less than 15 minutes to answer. The best part of this exercise is that it makes you THINK about wealth... and that is a very attractive outcome for me. | 1. Do think wealth can be created? 2. How do you feel about your wealth? 3. How do you define and measure wealth (not YOUR wealth, wealth in general) 4. What do you think is the biggest challenge to establish a wealthy community 5. What do you think is your biggest challenge in establishing YOUR wealth 6. How many times per week do you think about your wealth? 7. Do you consider yourself wealthy by your definition? Can you measure it on a scale from 0 (not wealthy at all) to 7 (fully wealthy) 8. How much do you expect your wealth to CHANGE in the next 10 yrs? (plus, minus, %) 9. What specific actions do you take to manage your wealth NOW? do you think that will change in 10 yrs? if so, how? 10. Do you think you do something distinctively about your wealth comparing yourself with most people you know? 11. How do you feel about wealthy people? 12. What do you think wealthy people do differently to others? 13. Do you think your cultural values have an impact on your wealth? And few other easier questions: Age decade: 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s Country where you live: Country (ies) where you grew up: Country (ies) you call home: Ethnicity (I'm actually more interested in knowing if you are multicultural, immigrant, child of immigrant, etc) Gender: Education: Do you think I missed something?: I would love to get your responses... (you can use English, Spanish, French, Italian, German, or rather imperfect English if you wish.. we'll figure out how to translate it) You are welcome to send this page to your friends.. copy.. paste.. include it on an email.. and here is my email... |
